Although e.g. the Dutch legislation knows no restrictions for afterwards installation, all seats with monitor are subject to official tests in accordance with the European directives for the car industry.
We performed already more than 100 tests .

Crashtest ECE-R17 74/408/EWG, M1

Eurologics performs in association with TÜV tests according to the applying European security directive R17. The seat and head support construction with built in monitor is again tested to note that by the weight increase the function of the seat with head support remains intact. The seat is assembled with adapters in an equal manner as original on a slide. The slide is shot with 35 km/u with a delay 20g (min 30 ms) both backward and forword against a partition.

The head support and seat construction must remain intact and the head support cannot come loose of the back plate.

For this type of tests we frequently cooperate with the car manufacturer or - importer. Already many tests have been carried out. Since 2000 all new seat types in which Eurologics monitor integration can be expected have been tested . For an overview it is referred to the dealer login.

Headimpact test ECE-R21 74/408/EWG, M1

The "headimpact" test includes a test where the monitor is assessed on sharp sides R < 2,5 mm before and after an impact with a spere ø 160mm 2,5 kg with 80g.

After the impact no sharp parts may have come loose or occur on the product.
